Happy Feet for Corporate Teams

Find a shared rhythm.

A tailored music-and-movement workshop for corporate teams: shared listening, coordination, and creative collaboration, held at your company venue. No music or dance experience required.

Why music and movement

A team can hear whether it is together.

Most team sessions talk about listening and collaboration. In this one, your team does both, on its feet, with live music.

Music gives a group something no slide deck can: instant, shared feedback. When ten people step to the same pulse, everyone can see and feel whether they are together, and adjust without a word being said.

Listen

Listening you can see.

Each task depends on hearing the music and noticing each other. Attention stops being an idea and becomes something the whole room can observe.

Level

Everyone starts level.

No one needs music or dance experience, so seniority counts for little. A new hire and a director are learning the same thing at the same moment.

Lead

Leading and following, practised.

People give a clear signal, pick up someone else’s, and recover together when it slips. These are practised in the room, not just discussed.

Teamwork is something participants practise together during the workshop. I do not promise a guaranteed business outcome.

Workshop formats

Four hours, a full day, or three days.

Each format is an outline. The content is tailored to your group, your aims, and your space.

  1. Half day

    Four-hour workshop

A complete first experience, and the easiest to fit into a team day or offsite.

    • Shared listening: arriving, tuning in to the music and to each other.
    • Rhythm and coordination: stepping a pulse, passing patterns, moving as a group.
    • Small-group creative tasks, where every voice shapes the result.
    • A break.
    • Reflection: what helped the group listen, lead, and follow.
  2. One day

    Full-day workshop

Everything in the half day, with time to go further and to make something together.

    • Morning: shared listening, pulse, and coordination, building from simple to layered tasks.
    • Afternoon: small groups create short pieces of their own and share them with the room.
    • Close: a longer reflection that links what happened in the room to how the team works day to day.
  3. Three days

    Three-day workshop

A deeper programme for retreats, leadership cohorts, or teams going through change.

    • Day one: listening and pulse. Finding a common beat and learning to stay with it.
    • Day two: leading, following, and improvising. Taking turns to set direction and to respond.
    • Day three: creating and performing a group piece, then reflecting on what to carry back to work.

Who leads it

Pianist. Educator. Dancer.

Every session is led in person by Khew Yun Zhen, founder of The Piano Odyssey and Happy Feet.

She brings together an established career in piano performance and teaching, close to three decades of dance experience, and ongoing professional training in Dalcroze education. The music is played live at the piano and shaped to the group in the moment, so the session follows the people in the room.
